This ECD center is a service unit of ACVV Paarl Vallei and the management committee consists of volunteer members of the branch.
Babies and toddlers of working parents from the age of 3 months to 5 years are cared for from 7:00 in the morning up to 17:30 in the afternoon. A cook daily prepares breakfast and lunch and snacks in the afternoon.
The ACVV’s accredited Early Childhood Development program, to stimulate the toddlers, is presented by 6 trained personnel.
Play activities outside take place daily and special days and a concert at the end of the year are organized.
Wielie Walie has very spacious classrooms and a big playground to develop preschool children to their full potential.
Children of parents who qualify for subsidies from the Department of Social Development are also accommodated.
Fund-raising events must be held regularly to cover the shortfall in school fees.
